    Chrome just shuts completely down without an error message when I navigate to ecommerce sites like Kohls or Home Depot or King Soopers or United Airlines.   I've done what I can to clean up Chrome and even uninstall and reinstall it.   I've googled solutions to this from Google but it's always the same answer - use the clean up tools.    I don't wanna go to Microsoft Edge or another browser because, well, everything is set up already with Chrome.   This started happening intermittently in April 2018 and I can't say that any update triggered it.    Any ideas?

    Hello Sir, 

    I rebooted my laptop and installed Windows 10 education. After Installing all the necessary drivers i saw that the Some of the drivers mentioned in the section - OTHER DRIVERS  were not downloaded. Itried to troubleshoot but it was not successful. Then i uninstalled the driver and restarted the laptop in the hope that my windows will automatically download and install that driver then also it was not installed. It is really giving me problem while recording my game screen. Please help asap!

    I've completelly reinstalled my Folio 9470m to Windows 10. After reinstallation, I was using HP SoftPaq downloader in order to download needed drivers and install them. All the drivers was installed successfully and there no unknown devices left in device manager. My notebook has two drives: Kingston SSD 120 Gb and Samsung mSATA 30 Gb, which I want to use for acceleration. Unfortunately, I don't see accelerate option (like in this website).  I've fallowed a suggestions found in other forum threads, but none of them helped to solve the issue. mSATA drive is unallocated, Intel RST driver version is the newest 16.5. Also, I've upgraded BIOS to version 68IBD ver F.72. SATA device mode is set to RAID and Boot Mode is set to UEFI Hybrid (with CSM). Before OS reinstallation and erasing disks via BIOS, RAID configuration was looking similar to this. I know that accelleration should be available option, because it was configured on Windows 8.1 before reinstallation to Windows 10.

    I want to make accelerate option available in Intel RST and would appretiate any help :)

    Hello, I have an HP Notebook - 17-x037cl. Internal fan needed replacing. Easiest fan replacement imaginable. Took five minutes. Now the laptop won't turn on at all.


    Totally dead. Won't boot up at all. 


    I do see that the amber charging light on when plugged in.  The power button gives me a good "click". But nothing happens. I took out the battery and did a hard reset. Nothing.


    I check the cable to and from the power button. Nothing. 


    I don't understand how a laptop could just drop dead.

    Hey guys,


    I bought a HP laptop a couple of months ago and sent it back to HP via the damages department in store because the keyboard was damaged.


    I had performed the master reset when I'd sent it off, restoring factory settings etc. When I try to turn it on now that I've got it back, I get a "Your account has been disabled. Please see your system administrator." message on the screen and can't log in or go past that point.


    I've never connected the computer to a college/work network - how do I sort this issue?

    I went to load up my HP OMEN 15 command center and when i do that it comes up but there is nothing on it. When I got the laptop and worked fine until now. How do I fix this ???

    I have a customer that I had to reinstall Windows 10, apps and new software.  Ran into the display problem with MP3 Rocket Pro that he wants to use.  After installing it the program came up so small you couldn't even read it.


    I changed his display to 1920 x 1080 with text,apps and other items at 150%. You can now see it but some of the regular programs when you open they fill the whole screen so you can't close the progam the normal way using the X.  So that forces you to go to the menu and close.  But at least he can see it.  I am luckier than most I guess.  Some people on here can't get theirs to work at all.  


    Have been reading comments from other users and HP has not come up with a fix.  You would think HP would want their products to work.  But I am beginning to think not.  I have an HP Desktop and Laptop.  However I am a Computer Tutor and Maintenance Service one owner company so I can get my own fixed and try with my customers.


    This piece of equipment should have been recalled or never made because it does not work.


    I changed it to 125% on text, apps and other items .  Still kept the resolution at 1920 x 1080.  Now most all of the programs on this computer you can get the whole screen and be able to shut down by clicking on the X.

    So I'm playing Fortnite nd I put my keybindings to X. Each time I hold 2 keys and press the X key, the X key wouldn't work. I am playing on a DESKTOP-N8A56U0.

    Every brand seems to have some major drawback except for Dell. Asus apparently has horrible support, Lenovo did that spyware **bleep** two years ago, Huawei and Xiaomi apparently have bad support too. I've read from a few people and a support thread that the HP Envy and HP Spectre lineups have screens that spontaneously crack from defect and HP won't replace/repair them. Does anyone know how true those claims on the HP laptops are? I just want to get something that will last and have good support if I need it in case the hardware **bleep**s out on me.

  • From time to time I get a blue screen of death. In fact, it doesn't bother me that much because it doesn't always happen. And when it happens, just turn off my laptop and everything is fine. I'm kind of ok with that since my machine is still running. This is what it says when I get BSOD: Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. So I knew the BSOD might have to do with the outdated BIOS.I followed the instructions shown on this link:

    I downloaded the BIOS update but I have not installed it yet. I am worried that it may screw up my machine. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to safely flash the bios? Can i back up my current BIOS? And how to restore it in case of failure? Do you think the new BIOS will make the blue screen vanish forever?


    I have read that it's so dangerous to update BIOS because it could harm my system and i might not be able to

    Boot my laptop. I could lose everything!. Do you recommend me to update my BIOS? Or is it much safer to stay with my current BIOS and I forget about the blue screen?



    I'm so positive that my laptop is not infected with viruses at all. A couple of months ago, I replaced my old C drive with a new one. So the blue screen of death I keep getting is not a hardware issue.
