Random photos from albums I have made somehow randomly disappear, without me having deleted them

Random photos from photo albums I made are randomly disappearing. I know I 100% have not deleted them because there was a picture of a cow I took in Ireland which I liked, but it has completely vanished from the folder. This isn't the first time a similar thing has happened, but in the past I have just thought I must have accidentally deleted it. But it has happened again, so it makes me think that something is up...how can I get the photos back?

I have an HP Pavilion Notebook, bought in 2017, I think with the latest Windows 10 OS but not definitely sure. Intel core i5 7th Gen. Please help! Thanks

HPSA - updates confused?

I recently had trouble installing update sp76605, but eventually made it and it shows in the Action Log as installed.

Now, it shows again in Available Updates, suggesting that it hasn't been installed or something has gone wrong with the HPSA checking system.

Has anyone seen similar or is this a local "issue" with the HPSA?

Is it possible to rollback BIOS from F69 (Intel meltdown fix) to earlier version? I have tried normal bios install and steps in this post https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833  Rollback not happening.

Installing normaly it goes to restart and when pressing install, shows - Unable to open BIOS signature file.

When trying Step 3: Install the BIOS recovery file

Screen is black, Shift key is blinking and nothing happens. System hangs and impossible to power off eaven holding the power button. Have anyone done this successfully? Or this BIOS ersion is disabled rollback possibility?

Backlit Keyboard Not turning on

Hi! I finally got my new HP Spectre laptop not even a week ago, and now the backlit keyboard refuses to turn on when I hit the f5 "backlit" key. Any ideas on how to get that working again? I tried restarting the laptop, doing the keyboard troubleshooting on the website, and trying other combinations of keys to see if it will get it to turn on.

Thanks!

My laptop was working perfectly fine yesterday, I was just doing university work. As I shut down it said "update and shutdown" so I did that. Tried to use it today, the touchpad and keyboard are not working at all. My wireless mouse works and I can log on using the on screen keyboard. Any idea why my touchpad and keyboard wont work?

touchpad overly sensative

The touchpad is overly sensative. I've set the sensitivity at the lowest level and still it is much too sensative. I downloaded the most recent driver and the problem still exists.  I call HP and they suggest the problem is not software.  Has HP had a hardware problem with the touchpad? Or could this be something else?

Hi, I am having the same issue as you and I was wondering if you had to pay the 60$ fee? For my pack, it says I get free 24/7 assistance but I have yet to find a way to talk to a representative or someone who can help me the issue? I only talk to a virtual agent and is not doing much for my case.

Where do I find all drivers?

Last week, I purchased an HP 15-da0012dx notebook. I plan on making a clean installation of my OS, Windows 10 Home 64-bit v1803. However, I presume I am going to need to manually install my notebook's drivers. Where can I get a complete set of correct drivers?

So far, I have found two sets of drivers: 1) under C:\SWSetup and 2) my product's page (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-15-da0000-laptop-pc/20395828/model/21837188). However, I have the following issues/questions:

  1. The drivers under C:\SWSetup are a subset of those on my product's page. However, not all the versions in C:\SWSetup match the ones I have installed. Furthermore, I believe I have found at least one driver that is installed (and listed on my product's page) but is not in C:\SWSetup. Thus, the drivers under C:\SWSetup do not make a complete set.
  2. Does my product's page list all the drivers I need or desire?
  3. My product's page lists a number of drivers I don't find in Device Manager. How can I know whether or not these were pre-installed and thus necessary or desired?
  4. Many of the most recent versions of drivers on my product's page are indicated to be for Intel's Whiskey Lake microarchitecture. However, I believe my notebook's CPU (Intel i3-8130U) is Kaby Lake. Is all the software on my product's page not specific to my notebook? For a given driver, do I want the most recent version; the most recent version for Kaby Lake, if indicated; the version installed on my notebook; or the version under C:\SWSetup?
  5. There is some non-driver software on my product's page, including firmware and the BIOS. Should I install (or flash) this software, and if not, which versions should I consider backing up? Where can I find the versions of my installed firmware and BIOS?

I'll be happy to offer specifics about the drivers I have installed or under C:\SWSetup if asked.
