Unable to play any games due to random fps drops

I own this computer about 2 years now. And ever since I always had fps issues while playing games.   I randomly get huge lag, fps drops below normal and the sound feedback is slow and distorted.  This can last anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes. I tried nearly every solution to fix but none worked. (nvidia panel settings, bios updates, intel vga driver updates, gpu/cpu updates & reinstalling all). But frankly I think I found the problem. When I connect to an external display with hdmi and use only second display games run smoothly, the moment ı disconnect it returns to trash. My theory from what I inspected, connecting to external monitor switchs my auido driver to the integrated TV(external monitor) audio driver. While not connected, realtek hd auido driver causing the fps and sound distortions. Hope you can help, thanks.
