I have hp probook 4530s with original os(window 7 64bit )...it is giving blue screen so i decided to restore my latop to its factory conditions But Recovery Partition is not working and giving error
Windows failed to start.

Restore windows 7 without HP Software recovery but with the partition in HD.
Hello Everybody
I have installed on my HP 8470w Windows 8.1. But would like to format and return to Windows 7 original manufactures, I have the partition intact in my main HD, but I can not acessalo since not have the HP Recovery Software, how do I access this part of the unit to return to the factory settings ? I didnt do the pen drive or anything like that as well.
This Computer has 2 HD (one ssd and another normal)

Problems with HP Probook 6475b after swiching computer off during full system restore
Can anyone help?
I have a problem with my HP Probook after it was accidently switched off during the running of an inbuilt recovery disc to restore the computer to its original instalation.
When I switch it on now it goes straight to a message that says 'Windows is loading files' and after a short while comes up with a screen which says:
Windows 7
RECOVERY DISC
***WARNING***
You are about to erase your hard drive. click the green
check box to proceed. Performing this action will restore
the computer back to it's original Windows installaltion
there is the choice of three check boxes - one green with a tick, one red with a cross and one c:\
When I click the green box after about 5 seconds there is a dialogue box entitled ' Restore Error Message'
and in the box it states Error 1, with a box to click that says 'ok'
If I click the ok box it returns back to the same message that Windows is loading files and goes through the same loop.
I cannot get past this point.
If I click the c:\ box it goes to a black dialogue box which has the following:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600]
X=\windows\system32>
If I put sfc/scannow the message is as follows: There is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart Windows and run sfc again
Can anyone advise how I can get out of this 'Error 1' loop and complete the system restore?

NEW HDD FITTED BUT MY RECOVERY DISCS NOT RECOGNISED, TESTS OK
Bought Notebook 2011. GREAT! But Hard disk "imminent failure " after 13 months. Managed to save backup to disks and Borrowed my wife's DELL and bought new HDD, but didn't fit it till 2014, then was told it was wrong one. In April, spent more cash on correct HDD from PC WORLD, fitted it, but now black screen and "NO BOOTABLE DEVICE". Did all HDD AND memory tests - all passed. Checked error log (only two errors - 0301 and 03F0). The dates are all on the 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th April, 2015.

Preparing Automatic Repair - Windows 8 Stuck
Hello all.
Purchased a Notebook 255 just before Xmas. Last week it got stuck on "Preparing Automatic Repair".
Looked all over the Internet and tried all the fixes.
Went onto the Warranty Checker to be told that this problem is not covered under Warranty.
I have now purchased a new Hard Drive which is coming in the post in the next day or two (or three!).
Summary:
The new HD will be blank. What do I need to do to get Windows onto it...
My question is this:
In win8 I know the Key is in the Bios, so if I purchase a win8 recovery CD will the install recognise the Bios Key ?

Windows Recovery
Unfortunately, I don't know how my Recovery file in D drive has been corrupted in my HP laptop.
And now I want to recover windows but unable to proceed because it says that some file is missing.
Till I have a genuine version of windows 8.1
Please resolve my problem or tell me a solution to create a new recovery file.

Need help with teen's quirky laptop
Teen son got new laptop to go off to college. I have his old one, noted above. Would like to make it workable for me. It does a variety of strange things. I have run malwarebytes on it and deleted about 61 files. Still doing odd things including wont allow me to install a photoshop disk, odd windows popping up in browser, will only open docs from my free agent drive as read only and gives me no way to enable editing...etc, etc, etc...
Teen son I think did lots of odd browsing and downloading and I think this thing is a mess. Before I go buy a new one I'd like to try a restore back to factory. Did a bit of on line reading about this and there seems to be concerns re further damage, something about partition points, restore disks (do not have any). So, is factory restore the way to go, any trouble I can get into, anything I need to do before proceed? I am a mom with limited knowledge/ability on this end of things. Answers in pretty simple language appreciated, thanks.

no such partition Error Rescue
I have HP laptop pavilion G4 1303AU. It is installed with two OS one Ubuntu Linux and another Windows 7 Hm Bsc 64 bit both is installed on diferent partitions. A day ago in windows 7 I shrinked and created two sample volumes. But when shut my pc down it was not restarting writing on screen "error no such partition rescue".
Please help me. I searched for some help from internet and got option to recover through unbuntu live cd. But i do not know how to do that.
I inserted the cd and started my pc now what should i do. Tell from starting even from inserting a cd to fully repair the system. My pc is very imp. To me pls rep. Early..

HP Mini 110-3519la Bios Password RESET

Using a thumbdrive as the recovery media
According to support assistant instructions, the thumbdrive should not be compatible with Windows 8 ?????
The computer is a Windows 8 (actually 8.1) computer. The recovery files would (presumably) be 8.1 recovery files.
That being the case, it seems to me that the recovery thumbdrive would have to be compatible ?????
What am I not understanding???????.....Izzy

Problem System Recovery
Hello,
I have a HP Notebook dv6z-3200, I had a 640GB Samsung hard disk which I started throwing error message then decided to change it to a new disk (Seagate 500GB Hybrid). Decided to create a USB recovery by soft that came with the compu Recovery Media Creation. Then replace the old disk to the new. Checked it for errors. And connect the USB drive and restart the computer, I recognized the bootable disk and I opened the Recovery Manager, Try testing the Factory Reset option and would not let me because it says that the new hard disk is smaller than the first. Then probe the Minimized Image Recovery option, he completely all Phase 1 correctly and says that now the computer is restarted several times to continue with Phase 2 and complete the operating system installation. But instead of restarting it gets the black screen with the HP logo in the center and remains so for hours without anything happening. Exactly the same goes for me to test the System Recovery option, it is labeled in the same place and not the operating system installation is completed.
I ask you to provide me some help to solve this problem.

error during factory reset

while iam trying to reset my laptop to factory condition i always get restoration incomplete message

Recovery Error using Partition
My proccess so far as been:
Went to disk manage in Windows and marked the HP Recovery partion as active then rebooted.
Laptop booted as it should on restart activating recovery.
Then get the following error:
0x40000000015 - HP Recovery manager not found.
Machine then tells me to turn off the machine.
As Recovery partion is active when I try turning on the computer again it loops back round to this error message.
What can I do to stop this from happening and restore this machine to factory settings?
