firmware update
Hi,
I just buyed this laptop and after I have set it up I looked trough the dives manager to see if everything it's instaled and I saw that firmware have a not been instaled properly. HP assintant is not giving me any update information about this. I have tried to download and instal the latest drives from HP website but nothing changed.
I have attached some printscreens for you to see the error.
I don't want to reinstall windows and then reinstall all the software because I will take me to much time.
Could you please help me on this?

Is it worth hoping for a good purchase?
I bought a pavilion-cs1004ur laptop, the display did not work for him, I passed it, purchased the same, but in another store (all hp partners), but that's not the problem, at the slightest load ssd cracked, I passed again. Is it worth it to rely on this laptop?

HP (envy) command center does not work
Hello
Selecting any of the options in thermal profile tab in HP Command Center does not seem to do anything
Fan speed does not change even slightly.
And every time I close the app and reopen it again, the option I selected is unselected for some reason, like if I never selected it in the first place.
It does not even seem to recognize my system informations
I tried reinstalling and reseting the app but it did not work.
It might seem like a detail but I am unable to controll the performance and temperature of my laptop properly which then overheats and causes damage to itself.

Can't get HP Notebook to connect to HP Envy7640 printer
I'm clicking on the WiFi symbol then I get the pop up for wireless connection. I click on HP Envy 7640 then click Connect. It asks me to enter either the PIN or the Security Key. After trying both I get "Windows can't get the network settings from the router". I've tried the troubleshootings tips from the HP site but they don't work. The other tips have to do with the router but are beyond my knowledge. Can anyone please help!!! I've had this computer for a year and half and have never been able to connect it to a printer!

HP (envy) command center doesn't work
Hello
Every time I open HP envy command center and select one of the options in the thermal profile tab, it's like nothing happens. Laptop's fan speed does not change even slightly
And when I switch to another tab or close the window and reopen it again, the option i selected is unchecked, like if I never checked it in the first place. It seems like it does not even recognize me selecting any of the options.

I would like to get most of my laptop, and even as it seems like such a detail, I am unable to controll the temperature and performance of it properly which annoys me.

Getting an HP Envy to boot from mSATA ssd
I bought a new mSATA ssd to use as a boot drive in my HP Envy 15 (2013) to speed it up a bit. I cloned the OS to the SSD and tried to change the boot order in the BIOS however there apears to be no way to set it to boot from the SSD. Removal of the HDD caused it to boot succsesfully from the SSD. This, and some research suggested if I clear the hard drive, and re-format it, I would be able to boot from the SSD automatically so I did just that. Now when I plug the HDD in I get a MSG saying Install OS on HDD. Is there anyway to make it boot from the SSD automatically, instead of getting stuck on the HDD?

Allowing USB keyboard mouse only
Hi,
I'd like to control USB connection at Bios level.
So, accessed BIOS>> Advanced>> Port options, and set "restrict USB Devices" option as "Allow onl keyboard and mouse".
Then, all usb connection is disabled including wireless/wired mouse.

Bios version is newest one - N75Ver.0133 07/17/2018
And I also tried to set "restrict USB Devices" option as "Allow all but storage devices and hubs" but, it didn't work either.
Please help me to allow USB Keyboard/mouse only.

I need help turning off a
I have been trying to set up an oculus rift for more than two weeks and the problem seems to be determined. My laptop has apparently been running the rift with the integrated GPU instead of the high performance NVIDIA GPU. Oculus support helped me set the default to the NVIDIA, and I think that worked. Despite this, the Rift is still reading the Integrated GPU. Support has suggested completely disabling the Integrated GPU. How do I do that?

HP laptop keyboard stopped working (Windows 10)
My laptop's keyboard suddenly stopped working while operating in Windows 10. I closed my laptop this evening (putting it to sleep). Roughly 40 minutes later, when I opened the laptop to resume use, the keyboard was not responsive. I was able to use the on-screen keyboard to log-on. However, the laptop's keyboard still does not work.
I have uninstalled and re-installed the driver. I did the hardware test. I even tried to updated the BIOS, which was not an option for this laptop, although I'm not sure why this is.
This is not the first time that this has happened; however, it is the firstt ime that a simple restart or extended wait has not worked. Please advise on how I can get my keyboard fixed.

HP 255 G5 chipset & usb bus driver problem
Hi,
I'm having issue with chipset and usb drivers on my HP 255 G5. Did a clean OS setup and now windows is unable to find proper drivers for the mentioned h/w.
I went to HP driver support page but surpizingly was unable to find chipset and usb drivers there.
Then I downloaded HW assistant but and tried to get updates and drivers but it doesn't help either since there is not available updates apart from BIOS.
Can anyone advise?

keyboard doesn't turn on in tablet mode
Hi ...everyone ...so i have got this laptop Hp envy x360 with 360 degree rotation but the problem i am facing at the moment is whenenever i turn the laptop in to the tablet mode and want to write down some thing into the search bar key bord doesnot show up on the screen ..tried to go in to control panel but couldnot find the proper settings for the keyboard ..can any body helpme with this problem ..i am waiting for experts advice thank you...

how to remove McAfee?
I am fed up with it keep popping up telling me my computer is at risk just because a different virus killer. You cant uninstall in apps, if you rename the directory it reinstates rhe name . Other than reinstalling windows clean I have tried everything i can think of? Anny sugggestions (if polite) will be welcomed.
If anyone knows how to contact a person in HP support, I would be very grateful for the info. I have only had daft replies from robots so far.

Auto rotate and auto tablet mode disappear after hark disk change
Hi everybody,
I have HP Pavilion x360 13-u001nl, after a hard disk replacement I had to reinstal OS. Everything went fine, but the option about auto rotate and auto switch in tablet mode disappeared from available options. I installed chipset drivers from hp website but I just had the lock rotation icon in the quich menu. The icon is always grey and the posibility to activate the function is unavailable.
How can I do to restore the auto rotation and the auto tablet mode?
