I have an HP 250 G1 Laptop. It came with Windows 8 installed.  I have had not problems with the PC since I received it in November of last year.  Today, April 1, 2014,  I received a message that there was a bios update available and let the update install.  The screen said that the laptop would restart a few times and that the screen would be blank for a little while.  Well it's been over an hour and the laptop still will not start.  When I press the power button the charging indicator blinks 3 times then goes out.  There is no cycling of the hard drive, the fan does not come on, nothing.  What can I do to fix this?

Hello HP team, well i have a problem , which i did solved like a few minutes ago, and then i start to download update from windows and the problem appeared again, same as before, with no changes, and anything else. Soo. My problem is the "Black screen of death" with NO cursor. I solved it after 4 days it has appeared, did almost (i gues) every logic possibility, but solution was only to totaly defrag my hdd and instal new and clean OS, after that, i thought i would never see it again (was soo naive) right now i type to you in safe mod because only this way its still work. Can you pls help me somehow? because after this 4 days im really pi***d off. Thanks in advance for your support, feedback and time.

hi there ive tried to download the HP recovery manager but is saying the softpaq will not be installed because HP Recovery Manager cant be found in my system? what to do now?

So I dropped my computer and now the the indise of the screen is broken. It's all white and i cant see anything. If i send it in to you guys is it free to replace it? Please get back asap.  My computer is the  2000-2b19WM Notebook PC

Hi

I tried to reinstall os by recovery disc but after third disk installation it says "Recovery manager could not resore your computer using the factory image. Please contanct hp support. Error code 0xef00013". After that when I start PC it says BOOTMGR is missing. please press cnt+alt+del to restart. Please help me in this regard. My laptop is hp pavilion dv6.

I bought HP Pavilion g6 2 months ago. It had Windows 8 preinstalled. Yesterday I updated my Windows 8 to 8.1. Now I'm getting error of activation Windows. My friend says; go back to Windows 8 through minimized image recovery option. I just want to know that is it safe? What would happen with my office data in other drives? Does it format only drive C? What would happen with my recovery drive D? Please reply.

Hello,

 

I have an HP Pro Book 450 G1 with Windows 7. I set up tortoise svn and after that when i turn on my computr it could not start. It says to insert the windows boot cd and start up again. When I press Esc and then F11, I get the error message that E:/system.sav/util is corrupted. Could you please suggest me what to do, in order not to loose my data?

Hello

 

I am going to be selling my HP250 i3-3110M as I have upgraded.

 

Now I would like to use dban to nuke my drive to delete my files so they cannot be recovered, Now I have a set of recovery partitions but I was wondering if after nuking my drive and reinstalling factory settings to the hard drive will the restore from the dvd's restore the recovery partition as well or will it just restore c drive?

I tried to get my laptop back to factory settings but it gives an error code during the restart

 

when windows boot manager screen is open 

 

oxc0000225 ands shows boot selection failled because a required device is in accessible

 

i have some kind of geek squad cd which is having a recovery files 

 

these same files are present in the laptops hard drive
