Hello, my HP pavilion s/n 5cd7382kmh has frozen on the "Preparing to configure Wibdows page, and ha been like it for seven hours. I have tried as recommended doing a hard stop but it still returns to the same page. This computer was purchased from PC world on the 26/11/2017
the o/s is windows 10 64bit
and apparantly the manufacturers warranty has expired after six weeks.so any assistance would be gratefully received.

Fresh out of the box, my laptop has the Fn keys reversed from their standard. This is fine for most of the keys, but I use refresh much more often than turning off the keyboard backlight, so I would like to reverse just this key.
Basically, I want to remap a single action key (F5) so that it will refresh browsers and windows without the Fn key, but leave all of the other action keys as they are.
The goal is to, without using Fn key, be able to refresh pages as well as adjust volume/brightness/video playback.
Any help would be appreciated, as the above thread was never answered.

I work for a company that uses the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI on a daily basis for multiple laptops (Versions 5.9.0.0 and 6.2.1.0 primarily). Today I was on the main menu of the diagnostic when I accidently pressed either the escape, tilde (~), or F1 key - which brought up a CSO number and Agent ID entry field. I simply pressed enter on both fields and was given "CSO Dummy" and "Agent Dummy" on the main UEFI screen. With this - I was given additional options and able to test all USB ports at once which is extremely helpful.
Problem is, I don't know how to bring up that CSO entry again. Could someone let me know of the key or key combination to bring that up again? I've tried multiple combinations of the keys mentioned above and nothing works.

I was having a sound issue with my new PC. I managed to fix it but it deleted the "HP audio switch" app, and the the Bang and Olufsen sound app in the meantime. I would like to redownload these apps but can't find where to get them.

I just took delivery of my new laptop and it's so slow I can't use it.

Uninstalling Hyper-V obviously isn't a fix. I need Hyper-V for running VM's for development and testing purposes. What is the fix? Is there any known issue involving Visual Studio 2013 and HP Support Assistant?
I noticed that the messages is the HP Support Assistent's Action Log (which contains messages about installed HP updates etc.) have several different 'looks', i.e. red, yellow, blue, faded or not etc. What do all these different colors mean?

HP 3D Drive Guard stopped woking post update of the Windows 10 Pro, Version - 1079, Build - 16299.125.
The Notification area icon has vanished and the HP 3D Drive Guard has stopped working. On detailing there is issue with the Acelorometer and Software.
Noticed that there was a firmware update for Thunderbolt posted on the Driver page, sp83931. Ran it, seemed to run correctly. Computer rebooted to complete installation. Upon reboot, gave permission for VBScript Launcher/SoftPaq to run, but nothing happens. Thunderbolt has disappeared from system.
