My problem is this computer was giving to me from my cousin, on thanksgiving 2016... The orginal OS.. is Windows Vista, I now have windows 10 pro on it. works well my graphics card i know stinks. My frame rate is terrible usually get about 60 fps. and in some games i play mostly starcraft 2 it will drop to 1. with starcraft has the lowest settings of everything.

Hey there, so I have an external microphone used for recordings etc and isn't attached to a headset it's just a stand alone microphone. Thing is when I plug it in to the audio/microphone plug it doesnt een register now matter where I go to look for it and it doesnt need a drive or software as it worked on my old DELL laptop which had seperate ports.
Can I split the audio/microphone jack or is there no way to plug in a stand-alone microphone on this laptop?

Help me to add one user fingerprint data to diferent OS in one laptop.
So, i have
- HP elitebook 8470p
- Synaptics FP Sensors (WBF) (PID=003d)
- two OS Win7 and win10 (i can select only one to load)
- same user for both OS
First i add 2 fingers in one OS, and it work.
Next i try to add same 2 fingers to other, but "error - finger already regested". It's mean that theris some other user (i am , already added by other OS) who have the same fingerprints. And i can add it again.
I try several times to fix it.
but no result.
In the begining was different fingerprint sensor driver and HP securiti software in OSes.
Then i install same to both.
Make reset fingerprint sensor in bios and delete all fingerprints in hp security.
But still no result...
This is my curent driver and software:
sp72896 Synaptics WBF Fingerprint Driver
sp74101 HP Client Security Manager (American, International)
P.S. in other laptop i have 3 OS!!! Win7+Win7+Win7. And no troubles with fingerprints. One user for all OSes.

I really cant work like this because I am using my laptop sort of like a desktop and second screen so I really need my external devices. Mostly my mouse and keyboard.
Besides that ifI want to connect bluetooth devices the same issue occurs.

pavilion 23t (23-b040xt) 8.1 this computer came with a ultra slim tray supper multi dvd burner on the right side of the computer to get access to this tray it is necessary to press a button on the top right side of the computer. the computer is suppose to provide access to dvd drive which is not happening.
I have not had this problem previously on this computer.
i was able to press on the button and the computer would provide an opening where i coud drop a program disk to download.

I recently purchased an HP Active Stylus to use with my HP Spectre x360 (HP Pavilion x360 - 13-u151tu). I followed some links online to try and find a driver that would allow the Active Stylus to work (as HP as failed to package native support with the laptop itself). I downloaded some Firmware that others have had success with, and it has unfortunately made my touch-screen unresponsive.
I've system restore to a point prior to the firmware upgrade, however that did nothing. I've also tried to update the driver firmware, but to no avail. (If it's relevant this is the exe output):

I purchased my son a Touch screen HP15 for Christmas. Got it out of the box and got to the screen to create a username and password and everything shrunk on the screen. We tried to click on it and everything is gone it is a blue screen. Please help? Thanks!
