Very simply - when I turn my laptop on I am asked for a pin number. I never should have agreed to this.
I want to disable this feature.
I do not want to replace it with anything - no simple pass, no finger prints NOTHING.
Can someone please just tell me how to get rid of that pin number prompt? I just want it to go away and I want it to go away fast.
The way I feel about HP at this point, if someone steals my HP laptop, they may HAVE it. Let them deal with this pice of junk.

When I turn on my Envy m7 notebook, I get a pop-up message: "This app can't run on this PC. HP accelerometer doesn't work on this version of Windows "
When I click on the Learn More button a Microsoft page opens that says "The app you're trying to use was blocked from opening because it might damage your PC or result in loss of data. This is because some apps that worked with a previous version of Windows might not work in the same way with Windows 10."
Greetings,
I just Brought my new probook 450 G4 with core i3 edition. I have Installed Windows 10 Pro Edition . Now want to install Nvidia drivers. But when i try to install that driver it says "This Graphics Driver could not find compitable hardware" .
Note:
1. I tried Installing Intel HD 620 graphics driver then installing nvdia driver.
2. I tried installing only ndidia graphics at first without installing any driver.
Need a quick solution.
My driver source https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-probook-450-g4-notebook-pc/10477253/model/10477360
Не работает клавиша fn на моем ноутбуке. Пробовал зайти через BIOS там все правильно настроено
How do I find out the series my laptop is in for ordering a replacement battery?
In version 8 of the Client Security, you could chose option on password field to us your Windows password that Client Security already knew. In version 9, the option to use Windows Password is no longer available that I can see.
Is there a way to have a login password automatically use the Windows Password anymore? It is a pain in the A$$ to have to keep changing my Windows Password in HP Client Security Manager for every screen that I use my domain logon to.
Thanks, Mike

Disclamer: I do not know a lot of things about computers especially since this is my first time purchasing and owning a gaming laptop.
My OMEN 17 takes a little while to boot up (about 2 minutes) I'm not really sure whether that's normal or not but I expected a gaming laptop like this to boot up in seconds (less than a minute at least) since that's what my friend (who knows more about compupters than I do) has told me.
My main issue is that the OMEN Command Center is unresponsive. Every time I press the OMEN button on my computer, or run the app as administrator from the task bar the same thing happens every single time; the app pops up and says "OMEN COMMAND CENTER" then when I hover my mouse over it it turns into the loading icon (the spinning wheel object) i tried waiting for it up to about 45 minutes and it was still unresponsive, granted that this is a new model and a brand new laptop I would'nt expect the system to run that slow. Sometimes I would get lucky and it would run but it was incredibly inconvenient. There has also been occurences when I would launch the app after a couple of times(since its unresponsive the first few times) an error would pop up that says "Pipe Connect Fail" i would close it then the app would launch but the gauges would remain empty (CPU Utilization, GPU Utilization, etc). Later on i found out that i had to update the drivers first (I've already done the automatic windows updates). So i went to the hp website, typed in my laptop and downloaded the drivers (i only clicked on the top one of each category as they were the latest ones) i upgraded the BIOS, the Audio Drivers etc. then I restarted my computer, it was a bit faster (took about a minute) but the issue still remained, the Command Center was unresponsive and the same thing would occure with the "Pipe Connect Fail". I'd really like it if it was more responsive so i can get my money's worth with this laptop.
I'm unsure if this is a hardware problem, maybe I got a lemon or something but i would appreciate any help that anyone could offer. Thank you and have a great day.
Hi there,
I have a but of a weird quesion regarding these two update software applications. They both give me two different versions of drivers when i update.
If i update via softpaq, support assistance gives a notice saying the driver need an urgent update and if i update the spport assistant, softpaq tells me I have an important update waiting. They are both two different versions of divers.
So which one is the proper one to install and which update manager is the better one to use?

Hi,
I have recently bought HP Notebook - 15-bs576tx with free-dos version. I have installed windows 7 in the laptop.

Can you guide me how to get windows 7 softwares and drivers?

Hi everyone,
I am attempting to do my first UEFI-based SCCM install for Windows 10x64 for my firm.
Previously, we had Windows 7x86 installed on these devices, and everything worked fine.
Below is the driver list that i am currently using in my x64 boot disk.
When I try to do the bootup - I get the below message...
Status: 0xc0000001
Info: A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance.
I had a Windows 7 Home installed on my Hp Pavilion dv6047cl which has both Intel HD 3000 and the AMD Radeon 6700m which I never managed to make it work at the same time as it is supposed to. I believe I might be having a driver issue, but sometimes I think it can also (or just) be an hardware malfunction or something like it. When I had that Win7 installed, I could boot and use the system without any problem, I just had to avoid forcing the proper ''Catalyst'' software to avoid reboot or blank-screen. If I tried to install Catalyst, I could hear the ''device is plugged'' sound - and a blank screen and system lock right after.
Before I could give up on that I did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro this week, hoping for better stability. For the first time, I managed to make both VGAs working together, now seen at the device manager list. Even ''Catalyst'' software seemed to have been installed with no issues (I didn't do it manually) Everything was working as it is supposed to, even GPUz listed both VGAs there working. Everything was fine until I shut my notebook down for the first time since that install, and after Windows 10 did its cumulative update, all the problems came back again after the next boot. Now things seems to be even worse and even more confusing.
So if i uninstall AMD's drivers, Win10 would just auto-install it couple minutes later and simply blanking or freezing the system up right after. Sometimes AMD would work fine, but then the ''PnP Monitor'' would have this exclamation mark in device manager. Note that Intel's VGA is proper installed and working during that. I can only boot up again without a blank screen with safe-mode enabled (which suggest its just driver issues) and if I wish to boot on normal mode again later, I have to uninstall AMD's back to ''generic video adapter'' while on safe mode - only for it to re-install again the next boot, its a real issue loop. I tried System Restore and even uninstalling Win10 latest updates - no success.
Now, I've heard that Win10 does lots of shadowy stuff without your permission, and if you name an attempt to fix it I probably did it. Policy group's editing to avoid auto-install, shut auto update, I did everything. After trying all that now, I managed to boot it on normal mode without any blanking screen or freezing - except for the 1020 resolution. On device manager, AMD is now properly disabled as I wanted to avoid more issues, but now Intel's 3000 is listed as "generic windows drivers" and this is the only way to boot now. It seems that if I wish to keep this thing, It will have to be looking like a 1999 computer.
If I attempt to install Intel's 3000 drivers in compatibility mode with Win8 the installation stops with an error message and aborts. I can't install it now either with the device manager or with the executable from Intel's site. AMD used to have the exclamation mark there, but now it is Intel's 3000 which has that mark and AMD doesn't.
I don't want to give up my Pavilion for I have uses for it, what it is suggested in my very strange case? I went to the DV6047 bios and I got shocked to see that nothing is there to set, just a poor clock editing and boot options. Is the AMD graphics physically removable by any chance?
