Unable to update to latest win 10 version- needs BIOS update
Product Nr N9E13UA#ABA
The current update is: 2018-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems.
The current BIOS is - F.42- 11/30/2016
As I have opted for auto updates, I keep getting the following message, albeit with different error codes; the latest one of today is:
Failed to install feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 - Error 0x80248007
when you click on 'fix the issue', it says:
Bios needs to be upgraded before you can upgrade windows. this program needs to be uninstalled because they are'nt compatible with the upgrade.
when you click on uninstall-
it says we couldnt uninstall these apps
you'll need to remove these apps yourself and then select refresh!
I have no clue how to proceed further, how to remove the bios myself? !
And I do not want to meddle with the BIOS!

I just got this laptop and installed windows 10 on it, and Wi-Fi and touchpad doe'snt work perfectly.
I tried to download the drivers for my model on HP's website, but got really confused understandind which drivers were made for this laptop.
Can someone maybe tell me what I'm missing?

Trackpad support on linux
I can acknowledge that I made to let the touchpad work on configuration as yours (4k display with IR camera version, i7):
1. Installing Ubuntu (with the hell of going through nouveau.modeset=0 during boot, and in Legacy Boot mode)
2. Installing proprietary nVidia drivers replacing nouveau (open source)
3. Manually upgrading Kernel to 4.19.1 using UKUU tool.
Touchapad works so far.
Now there is another problem - original Thunderbold HP dock won't show external display connected via Thunderbolt Dock and Displayport.
On the Windows, everything works of course :(

Product information not valid CT number...
Hello!
I have an error message when I turn on my computer product information not valid ...CT number.
My laptop also does not recognize my power cord.
When I turn it off and leave it plugged in, the battery is full when I turn it back on after a few minutes.
But when the laptop is on and plugged in, it looks as if it is not plugged in and functions of my laptop is super slow to start, Internet. ..
Streaming movies is almost impossible, the sound crakles...Websites take forever to load...
Please help me I'm a writer and need my pc to work 😯

ACPI bad works with Linux
I was trying work with Ubuntu 18.10, Debian Testing, Arch, Fedora
The kernel loads with options which are on the screenshot.
BUGS (all distros):
1) Fn+F12 does not work (Air Mode / ON or OFF WLAN).
2) Fn+F2/F3 does not work (Brightness UP/Down).
3) The initialisation Power Supply and percentage of battery charge does not work.
4) The turn on or off Air Mode when lid is closing or opening.
5) The Power Management does not work.
If i suspend and wake up laptop then (all distros):
1) The Fn+F2/F3, works (Brightness UP/Down).
2) The initialisation Power Supply and percentage of battery charge, works.
3) The Power Management, works.
But still (bug №1) and (bug №4) does not work.
The kernel does not work with "acpi=Linux" via HP-WMI (all distros).
The kernel works with "acpi=Linux blacklist=hp-wmi" but it's a bad because HP-WMI turn on or off WLAN and Bluetooth.
Maybe these bugs via "acpi_rev_override" which enables on all distros. But I build kernel without this option then ACPI does not work.
This person have the same problem.
These are the BIOS/UEFI bugs!!!

battery is not charging 100%. stops at 70% and then says " plugged in , not charging "
My Battery is not charging upto 100 %. It charges only upto about 70 % and then says " plugged in, not charging ".
Also while charging it cycles through charging and not charging where the screen brightness keeps increasing and decreasing.

Spectrum Cycle Omen 15 dc0051nr keyboard
I bought an hp omen 15 dc0051nr and cant find an option to spectrum cycle the keyboard, the only reason i bought this particular model was the rgb keyboard. if its not in the command center is there an "aftermarket" software that will allow me to do this?
