So I opened the HP software and Drivers section and typed in my serial number and headed over to BIOS found 2 updates.
I downloaded the older one then installed it successfully then downloaded the newer one but when I open the .exe program it tells me my device isn't compatible with this version even though I downloaded it from my device page. Should I force update it by making a bootable flash drive or what should I do?

My hdd started popping so I got a ssd to put back in my lap top and every time I start my lap top it boots great , but if I restart it , it goes to a black screen saying
(Boot device not found. . Please install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard disk (3F0) ) .
i can turn it off and turn it back on and it boots great.
Do I need to get my recovery dvd's and reinstall my windows 10? Or what do I need to do, or nothing?

I also have an AMD Ryzen 3 2300U based laptop (HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cw0957sa) and I am also experiencing a problem with the CPU being throttled to 0.38Ghz, a restart is required to get the full performance back, this can only be an issue with the firmware.
Have been trying to get my Driveguard to work since it no longer worked after windows update version 1803 was installed. Can anybody help me with a fix for my problem.

My shift keys have stopped working properly. I've tried rebooting and fixing in BIOS as well as turning off sticky keys, neither has worked.
The only fix I have found is uninstalling the HID Keyboard Device Driver, at which point my keyboard will start to work properly again, but if it reinstalls, which it does with regularity, then my shift keys will stop working again.
Anyone have a more long-term fix for this issue or have any knowledge on how to solve this issue.
When I tilt my screen back to use it as a tablet, my screen begins to flicker between different explorer tabs and I am unable to use the laptop in tablet mode. The issue resolves itself only when tilting the screen back to laptop mode.
Sound doesn't work unless rebooted and the computer gets super loud trying to load a youtube video as well as cant load the video half the time (yes i have good wifi). Also keep in mind I've already tried a factory reset and it worked for a bit but within a month went back to it. it gives no error messages it just doesn't perform well seeing how its 2 years old and costed 1 grand.
I purchased my 15 inch Spectre last Saturday and I've noticed that several of the apps bundled by HP is not installing as of today. I've refreshed/wiped clean the system several times plus ensured updated the system, however as you can see in the screenshot the apps still won't update nor can I uninstall them. Thoughts, ideas?
After following all your steps I found out that while the original issue of not being able to mouse while typing has worked, I lose the ability to scroll up and down by swiping the touchpad. Please help.

all of a sudden when you plug my laptop into the charger the lights that flash when it's still on and you close it comes on when I plug it in. but it wont turn on. even when I hit the power button. I've tired taken the battery out and just having it plugged in and nothing's working. my whole life is on this laptop so I dont want to lose what's on it. I just want it to turn on!! can someone please help me figure it out so I dont have to spend a lot of money on it.

I am facing severe performace issues with my laptop.
Chrome, Edge, Music etc any apps lags a lot. Nothing works smoothly.
Can someone help me as what to be done in order to get good lag free performance?
Here are the things i have already done,
1. Power settings- High Performance
2. Disabled auto start up of apps
3. Uninstalled multiple bloatware Apps
I have attached a screenshot here, Can someone let me know if these HP related apps can be uninstalled?
There is literally nithing on my laptop. Enough of Free space available on the disk.

It was very cool with Beats Audio system, but recently I Upgdaded my windows to Win10,
Now Every thing is ok but there is not Beats Audio System. I mean sounds are very weak and low and they are just with up speakers.
Is there any driver to take back that exellent quality of Beats?

Last night, I spilled popcorn butter on the keyboard of my laptop. I wiped it up and for a while, the touchpad/clickpad was working fine, but now it will not work. I am currently using a wireless mouse instead of the touchpad. Is there anyway I can clean or fix it?

So, What should i do ?
